Kelsey Matthews, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Matthews entered into the world of veterinary medicine as an assistant in 2012. Following her love of caring for animals, she graduated from UT Knoxville (Go Vols!) in 2018 and started her career as an associate in a privately owned companion animal practice. Three years later, she transitioned to providing relief services full-time and became involved with a high volume spay and neuter clinic. Her expertise involves soft tissue surgery, wound management and radiology. As part of ReadiVet Nashville, she can’t wait to meet you and your pet!
A true Tennesseean, Dr. Matthews was born and raised in a tiny town East of Nashville called Baxter. She grew up riding horses and still rides when she gets the chance. When she’s not caring for animals both big and small, she loves to read, explore national parks an hike locally.

I love food too much to pick just one, but I enjoy Thai, sushi, and Italian especially. Sweets are the key to my heart and not much out there can top my Mom’s homemade chocolate pie!

A big passion of mine is travel and my number one bucket list item is to cage dive with Great White Sharks in Australia.
